Brutal murder in Baku: father-in-law of the murdered man arrested

A preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen for a person accused of committing premeditated murder.

As reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office, a criminal case is being investigated in the prosecutor's office of the Binagadi district regarding the premeditated murder committed on April 21 in a private residential house located in the Binagadi district of Baku, which resulted in the death of 36-year-old Adil Maharramov. The case was initiated under Article 120.1 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. A relative of the deceased, Najaf Gafarov, has been brought to criminal responsibility as an accused under the specified article.

Based on the investigator's petition and the submission of the prosecutor supervising the pre-trial investigation, the court made a decision to choose detention as a preventive measure for the accused.

It was previously reported that Adil Maharramov was killed by his father-in-law.
