Singer Deniz Asadova's prison term increased

The detention period of the imprisoned Azerbaijani singer Deniz Asadova has been extended.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, the corresponding decision was made by the Binagadi District Court.

D.Asadova was found guilty of insult and slander against another person. The new sentence was combined with the previous punishment. In total, taking into account the combination of all imposed sentences, Deniz Asadova has been deprived of freedom for eight months.

It is worth noting that the singer had previously been sentenced to seven months of imprisonment for insult and slander against lawyer Asim Abbasov.
