Producer of legendary group declared wanted: he faces up to 10 years in prison
The producer of the music group "Tender May" Andrei Razin has been charged with fraud on an especially large scale. According to the investigation, he may have been receiving royalties for the band's hits for years using a fake contract.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Telegram channel "112", investigators found that A. Razin concluded a fictitious agreement with poet Sergei Kuznetsov - the author of songs performed by the late Yuri Shatunov. This document allegedly allowed the producer to appropriate royalty payments for a long time. A criminal case was initiated last year, but charges against Razin were only brought now. He is being charged under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - fraud on an especially large scale, which carries a sentence of 2 to 10 years imprisonment.
According to sources, Andrei Razin is currently in Turkey. In the near future, he may be placed on an international wanted list to be brought to justice in a Russian court.
Previously, the producer himself repeatedly tried through the courts to obtain rights to "Tender May" hits, including the song "Pink Evening," and conflicted with Yuri Shatunov's widow over this issue. Now the situation, apparently, is developing in the opposite direction for him.
