Mustafa Sandal became the first Turkish singer with Global Artist status
For the first time in the history of the British Arts Council, a Turkish singer has been granted the status of "international artist".
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Hürriyet publication, this title was awarded to famous pop performer Mustafa Sandal.
The Council granted him a lifetime Global Artist status and issued a special visa that gives him the right to permanent residence in the United Kingdom.
The UK Ministry of Culture noted Mustafa Sandal's significant contribution to the global music industry, highlighting his numerous international awards, world tours, as well as the popularity of his songs, which have been translated into eight languages and have topped charts in 24 countries.
