Hikmet Ragimov: For the role, I gave up four teeth; my son cried when he saw me

Actor Hikmet Rahimov was the guest of the new episode of the Qapqara program on Baku TV channel.

During the show, he talked about the filming process of the series Səkkiz ("Eight").

"While preparing for the main role, I met with many makeup artists and realized that in our country there is no specialist with sufficient experience who could properly create this image. Therefore, I had to give up four teeth, shave off my eyebrows and hair. When I returned home, my son, seeing me, started crying out of fear. He thought I had a serious illness. This worried me. Being the director of the series and embodying such a psychologically complex character at the same time was very difficult. Nevertheless, the series turned out to be interesting, and many viewers watched it," the actor shared.

Hikmet Rahimov also talked about his spiritual growth: "In life, I had periods when I made wrong decisions, was in the wrong environment, and had mistakes in relationships with people. Then I analyzed everything for myself and perceived it as a life lesson given to me by the Almighty. Otherwise, I would not have become who I am now."
