Film director Eldar Shengelaya has died
Georgian film director, People's Artist of the USSR Eldar Shengelaia died at the age of 92.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the Nato Vachnadze Foundation.
"With deep sorrow, we inform you that Eldar Shengelaia has passed away," says the publication posted on the organization's Facebook page.
In 1958, he graduated from the directing department of VGIK. He then worked at the Mosfilm studio. Since 1960, he was a director at the Georgia-Film studio.
During his career, he managed to make more than ten films, including "Blue Mountains or An Improbable Story" and "Eccentrics."
The cause of death and the date of the funeral have not been reported at this time.
