Honored artist Nigyar Shabanova's nose was broken during surgery.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the artist shared this during the "İncə səhər" program.

The performer noted that many years ago during a surgical procedure, the doctor damaged her nose: "I first had surgery to correct a deviated septum. I was 15-16 years old. In those days, medicine wasn't as advanced as it is now, there wasn't modern equipment. They broke my nasal cartilage - that sound is still in my ears. Later, my nose began to collapse and become crooked."
