Brothers Meladze's songs may be banned in Russia
Deputy of the Bryansk Regional Duma Mikhail Ivanov has proposed an initiative for a complete ban on performing songs by Valery and Konstantin Meladze in Russia. He reported this to NEWS.ru.
The politician is convinced that such a measure is necessary to protect the country's cultural space from individuals whose actions go against state interests. He emphasized that art should bring light and true values, not serve as a tool in the hands of hostile forces.
According to Ivanov, the musicians deliberately took a side hostile to Russia, and therefore cannot continue to enjoy the benefits of Russian society. The deputy pointed out the unacceptability of a situation where artists who are popular in the Russian Federation simultaneously support those who are fighting against Russian military personnel.
