Zangezur Corridor: Why Iran Accuses Azerbaijan of Armenia's Decisions on the "Trump Route"## Translation note: I've maintained the original formatting while translating the title from Russian to English.

After the signing of the peace declaration between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia on August 8 in Washington, within which an agreement was reached on the so-called "Trump route" connecting the main territory of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan, it was logical to expect a change in the tone of the anti-Azerbaijani campaign, which had long been conducted in Iran at the level of officials, experts and media.
This is stated in the latest video on the YouTube channel "Free Iran".
The paradox of the situation lies in the fact that it was Armenia that initiated the transfer of the transit route to the management of a private American company for 99 years and proposed to name it "Trump's Path for International Peace and Prosperity" in honor of US President Donald Trump. It was Yerevan's actions that caused the emergence of the alarming thesis in Iran that "America has become our neighbor".
It is worth recalling that when this topic first appeared in the information space, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev at a meeting with participants of the III Global Media Forum in Shusha on July 19 clearly outlined his country's position: "Regarding your question about an American company allegedly leasing the Zangezur corridor, this question should be addressed to the leadership of Armenia. There can be no operators, traders or tenants on our territory".
The leader of Azerbaijan unequivocally stated that there would be no foreign partners or external forces in the Azerbaijani part of the Zangezur corridor. The Americans, causing concern for Iran, as it later turned out, will operate exclusively on the Armenian section of the corridor.
However, despite all the explanations from Azerbaijani officials, certain circles in Iran seem to have set themselves a single goal - to blacken and discredit Azerbaijan, ignoring the real facts and the source of the problem.
