Women's Forum of the ECO is being held in Lachin

The first women's forum of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is being held in Lachin.

As Report informs, the forum is being held within the framework of "ECO Week" at the initiative of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The main goal of the forum is to promote inter-sectoral cooperation between ECO countries to expand opportunities for women in all areas of human development, as well as to strengthen the role of women in forming sustainable, inclusive and stable communities throughout the ECO region.

The event will discuss the role of women in human development for climate resilience, expanding opportunities for girls and women through education, digital inclusivity: innovation and exchange of experience, as well as other topics.

The forum will also serve as a platform for dialogue, cooperation and exchange of experience between women leaders from various countries of the ECO region and relevant international partner organizations.
