With the participation of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, an online ceremony was held for the gifting of the oil tanker "Dostlug"

On June 22, a ceremony of gifting the oil tanker "Dostlug" was held in an online format with the participation of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the oil tanker "Dostlug," gifted by Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan, was built at the Baku Shipyard. Its overall length is 141 m, width – 16.9 m, draft – 4.54 m. The construction of a tanker with a deadweight of 7,875 tons in Azerbaijan not only demonstrates the development of our shipbuilding industry but also contributes to the development of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. At the same time, this once again shows that it is possible to implement large-scale and technologically complex shipbuilding projects at the Baku Shipyard.

To date, the shipyard has successfully completed 14 ship construction projects and more than 170 ship repair projects. Of the 17 vessels currently in the shipyard's order portfolio, 11 are under construction and 6 are at the design stage.
