It was precisely due to Azerbaijan's unwavering stance toward Russia, President Ilham Aliyev's expression of his position in the name of national interests, and the current geopolitical realities that the administration of American leader Donald Trump became involved in the process. As a result, a trilateral document was signed in Washington.

This was stated by journalist Turan Ibrahimov, commenting on the agreement reached at the meeting in the US capital regarding the Zangezur Corridor (Trump's road).

He noted that everything Azerbaijan has achieved after Armenia's capitulation in 2020 was officially formalized in Washington.

"When we called this route the Zangezur Corridor, Russia and the West preferred other names. But the name doesn't matter - we will still call it the Zangezur Corridor. This is a path that unites Turkic states in a geopolitical and geoeconomic context, transforming them into a single space," added T. Ibrahimov.
