The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan strongly condemned and rejected the anti-Azerbaijani statements made by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot. This was stated in a statement by the head of the Press Service of Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry, Aykhan Hajizade, commenting on Barrot's claims about Azerbaijan's alleged interference in processes in French overseas territories. "We regret that on January 29, 2025, during discussions in the Senate, French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot once again attempted to spread unfounded allegations about Azerbaijan's supposed interference in French overseas territories," Hajizade noted.
