The US Secretary of State congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on Independence Day
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of May 28 - Independence Day.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the congratulatory message was published on the official website of the US State Department.
"On behalf of the American people, I would like to congratulate the people of Azerbaijan on Independence Day. We support Azerbaijan's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. The United States continues to support efforts to strengthen peace and stability in this region vital for the prosperity of the South Caucasus.
We welcome the agreements reached this year between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the text of a peace agreement. We also recognize Azerbaijan's growing importance as an energy supplier and significant transportation hub. Over the past 33 years, our partnership has continued to promote common interests in security, energy cooperation, and economic growth. We look forward to deepening this cooperation and working together for a peaceful and prosperous future for both Azerbaijan and the entire region," Marco Rubio stated.
