The President of Azerbaijan expressed condolences to the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a letter to the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Tufan Erhürman.
As reported by AZERTAC, the message states:
"Dear Mr. President,
We are deeply shocked by the news of the loss of lives as a result of a ferry sinking off the coast of Kyrenia.
In connection with this tragedy, I personally and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan express with deep sorrow my condolences to you, the families and loved ones of the deceased, and your brotherly nation, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.
Allah rehmet elasin!" (May God rest their souls!)
