The Ministry of Foreign Affairs commented on the condition of Azerbaijani citizens injured in the attack on vessels in the Sea of Azov
Following reports of Azerbaijani citizens killed and injured as a result of a drone attack on cargo vessels in the Sea of Azov, staff from the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Russian Federation promptly traveled to the scene of the incident.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan.
It is noted that staff from the consular department of the embassy are currently in the city of Yeysk, where they are providing consular support to the injured and rescued citizens of Azerbaijan.
The condition of the injured is assessed as satisfactory, and some of them may be discharged from the hospital in the near future.
As part of the search and rescue operations conducted by the relevant agencies of the Russian Federation, identification of the deceased and other necessary procedures are ongoing.
Work is also underway to process documents for the rescued Azerbaijani citizens, issue them return certificates, and organize their return to the country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan is keeping the situation under special control and coordinating actions with the relevant agencies.
