Shahbaz Sharif thanked Ilham Aliyev for political support

On May 15, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, called the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan informed the head of our state about India's military attacks on his country and the achieved ceasefire. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif expressed gratitude for the diplomatic and political support provided by Azerbaijan during the crisis and solidarity with the people of Pakistan, stating that this is an example of the brotherly relations between our countries.

Noting with satisfaction the provision of a ceasefire in the region, the head of our state once again brought to attention that the Azerbaijani people and state expressed support for Pakistan and showed solidarity with it.

During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views took place on issues of cooperation between our countries in various fields.
