Russian Foreign Minister discussed the development of bilateral relations with the representative of the President of Azerbaijan

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov discussed the prospects for developing bilateral relations and the agenda of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) during a meeting in Moscow.
As BAKU.WS reports, this was stated in a message from the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"There was an exchange of views on the prospects for the development of Russian-Azerbaijani relations in line with strategic partnership and alliance. A number of current international and regional topics were touched upon," the ministry noted.
According to the information, key issues on the CICA agenda and tasks for joint work on this platform during Azerbaijan's chairmanship in 2025-2026 were discussed, including in the context of integrating the association into the general system of multilateral cooperation in the Eurasian space.
