President of Azerbaijan: We support the government of Syria

Unfortunately, under the previous leadership, Syria took a pro-Armenian, anti-Azerbaijani position.

As Azertag reports, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev at the international forum "Towards a New World Order" held at ADA University.

Emphasizing that there were many contacts between the Armenian leadership and the then Syrian leadership, the head of state said: "Now the Armenian government may think that no one remembers this. No, we remember this. And now we see that they (Armenia - ed.) are trying to provide humanitarian aid to Syria. This once again shows Armenia's hypocrisy. We hope that the Syrian government will no longer provide a platform for such hypocritical people for their activities. We support the Syrian government."
