President Ilham Aliyev visited the Embassy of Georgia in Azerbaijan and expressed condolences
On March 27, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the Embassy of Georgia in our country and expressed condolences over the passing of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia His Holiness Ilia II.
As reported by AZERTAC, the head of state was welcomed by Ambassador of Georgia to Azerbaijan Zurab Pataradze.
President Ilham Aliyev left a note in the book of condolences.
The head of state then had a conversation with the ambassador.
President Ilham Aliyev said that Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia His Holiness Ilia II devoted his life and activities to noble causes and the promotion of interfaith dialogue, emphasizing that his memory will always be honored with respect in our country.
The head of state touched upon the role of His Holiness Ilia II in the development of traditional Azerbaijani-Georgian relations of friendship and cooperation.
Zurab Pataradze expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for visiting the embassy and offering condolences.
