Neural Network Saved Trump from Scandal in Saudi Arabia — He Was "Forced" to Drink Coffee
Saudi TV channel al-Arabiya processed a video recording of negotiations between US President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman using artificial intelligence.
The reason was the awkwardness that arose during the official ceremony - the American leader refused to drink traditional Arabic coffee, which according to local traditions is considered a serious sign of disrespect.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the welcome ceremony took place at the palace as part of the White House chief's visit to the kingdom. The guest was offered gahwa - a drink with spices that symbolizes hospitality in Arab culture. However, Trump refused the treat, thereby violating the accepted etiquette.
To avoid public resonance and "not embarrass" the American leader, journalists of the TV channel decided to use a neural network. With its help, a version of the video was generated in which Trump supposedly accepts the cup and takes a sip. This clip was subsequently shown on air.
As noted by Life, artificial intelligence generally coped with the task, but attentive viewers noticed discrepancies - for example, differences in the armrests of chairs in different frames, as well as changes in the appearance of the person sitting next to the crown prince.
