Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva, and head of Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva made a visit to Dhaka, the capital of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

As reported by BAKU.WS, during the visit on December 7, L. Aliyeva and A. Aliyeva met with the chief advisor of the interim government of Bangladesh, world-renowned economist, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus.

During the meeting, the warmest greetings from President Ilham Aliyev were conveyed to Chief Advisor M. Yunus. It was emphasized that he has visited Azerbaijan several times over various years, including his participation in the COP29 conference in November 2024, and has met with the President of Azerbaijan multiple times, always receiving a warm welcome in our country.

It was noted that Azerbaijan has always maintained friendly relations with Bangladesh, with which our country successfully cooperates in various formats.

Muhammad Yunus was informed that Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva visited an institution in Dhaka for children deprived of parental care and orphans.

It was noted that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the IDEA Public Association are interested in cooperation with relevant organizations in Bangladesh in humanitarian, social, youth spheres, in the field of volunteer activities, environment and nature protection, as well as in implementing joint projects.

Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus emphasized that he always fondly remembers his meetings with the President of Azerbaijan during his numerous visits to our country, and asked to convey his greetings to the head of our state. He noted that, as discussed during the meeting with President Ilham Aliyev at COP29, there is great potential for fruitful cooperation between the two countries, and touched upon the importance of implementing practical activities.

M. Yunus said that he personally witnessed Azerbaijan's great achievements in various fields, and expressed deep gratitude for the efforts aimed at developing cooperation with Bangladesh and implementing practical support programs.
