Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva met in Gabala with participants of the "Young Beekeeper" project

Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva and President of Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva visited the home of two participants of the "Young Beekeeper" project in Gabala on April 8.

As reported by BAKU.WS, during the meeting, Leyla Aliyeva had a sincere conversation with the families of young beekeepers, inquired about their activities, listened to stories about their first experience in this field and their impressions.

In turn, project participants Zelika Mamedova and Rafiga Makhsudova, as well as their family members, thanked Leyla Aliyeva for her attention and support and presented natural honey of their own production in special project packaging.

It should be noted that since 2021, within the framework of the "Young Beekeeper" project implemented on the initiative of IDEA Public Union in partnership with the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Employment Agency and the public legal entity ABAD, more than 60 young families from different regions of the country have been supported in creating beekeeping farms.

As part of the project, which aims to promote biodiversity conservation, spread beekeeping as a type of eco-entrepreneurship, support the production of natural honey and improve the material well-being of young families, young people underwent a month of training with the participation of professional specialists. Young people who completed the training were fully equipped with the necessary bee colonies and hives for beekeeping, beekeeping suits, honey extractors and other accessories. In addition, they were provided with the necessary conditions for effective activities.

Young beekeepers will also receive support in product certification, branding, design, etc. These steps will help young beekeepers promote their products and effectively organize sales so that they reach the stage of competitive honey production in the market economy.
