Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva familiarized themselves with the creative process of individuals from vulnerable groups

Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva and head of Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva visited the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity, where they got acquainted with the creative activities of people belonging to vulnerable groups. The Center was established on the initiative of First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva and has been operating since 2021. The Center is considered the first and largest space for inclusive development and creativity in the South Caucasus.
As reported by BAKU.WS, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev provided detailed information about the Center's activities. It was noted that the Center conducts trainings and classes in various areas to develop skills among people with disabilities, members of martyrs' families, and other representatives of socially vulnerable groups. At the same time, beneficiaries are involved in rehabilitation services aimed at social and psychological support.
The Minister emphasized that since its opening, more than 120 different events have been held at the Center. The Center and its branches - "DOST Houses" in Ismayilli and Barda have provided services to over 700 citizens.
Currently, about 200 beneficiaries are undergoing training in various areas, which contributes to the development of their personal and professional skills. It was also noted that handmade products created by the beneficiaries were presented at a number of international exhibitions, including the "Art Pavilion" of the COP29 Green Zone, where they generated great interest.
Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva got acquainted with the work of instructors and beneficiaries in areas such as pottery, carpet weaving, and fine arts. Then, a composition prepared by an instructor with disabilities was presented on the occasion of May 5 - Carpet Weaver's Day, using ornaments from "Irevan" carpets and Karabakh "Chelebi".
As part of the program, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva also watched an inclusive concert program presented by students of Social Institution No. 2 for persons with disabilities under 18, as well as instructors and beneficiaries of the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity.
At the end of the event, a tree planting campaign was held on the adjacent territory of the Center with the participation of IDEA volunteers.
