In Kahramanmaraş, the construction of the "Azerbaijan Quarter" has been completed
Construction of the "Azerbaijani Quarter" has been completed in the Turkish province of Kahramanmaraş.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Oxu.Az, 26 multi-story buildings have been constructed in four quarters, which contain 456 apartments and 328 non-residential premises.
The Head of the Office of the State Agency for Housing Construction of Azerbaijan (MİDA), Farman Gurbanlı, noted that the construction of the cultural center is planned to be completed within a year.
"The total area of the quarter is 27.6 hectares. The project includes apartment buildings, a primary school, a kindergarten, and a cultural center. A total of 1,194 apartments are provided in 68 residential buildings - two-room, three-room, and four-room apartments. For employment of residents, 1,595 non-residential (commercial) premises are provided in the quarter," said F. Gurbanlı.
It should be noted that on June 19, 2025, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan participated in the opening of the quarter. On the same day, residents were handed keys to their new apartments.
The remaining apartments are planned to be handed over on February 6, on the third anniversary of the tragedy.
