Ilham Aliyev: Trump's Election as President Was a Great Disappointment for Armenia

Armenia was counting on the Democrats remaining in power after the US elections. Therefore, Trump's election as president became a big disappointment for them.

The head of state emphasized that, nevertheless, there is no split in Armenia's political establishment on the issue of Azerbaijan, it is consolidated. "It's just a matter of vocabulary, a matter of behavior, and a matter of tactics. The essence does not change, and we must be ready for this. In other words, until a peace treaty is signed and Armenia completely abandons all territorial claims against Azerbaijan, which are still present in their Constitution, and demonstrates sincerity in its behavior for normalizing relations with Azerbaijan, the threat of a new military confrontation will always exist," the President said.
