Ilham Aliyev received the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan in Khankendi

On July 3, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov in Khankendi.

As reported by BAKU.WS, Rashid Meredov conveyed greetings to the head of our state from the national leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

President Ilham Aliyev thanked for the greetings and asked to convey his greetings to the national leader of the Turkmen people, the President of Turkmenistan, and the brotherly Turkmen people.

Noting that the restoration and construction work being carried out in Karabakh made a great impression on him, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan expressed admiration for the natural beauty of this region.

At the meeting, it was once again emphasized that Azerbaijanis and Turkmens are two brotherly peoples connected by common ethnic roots, historical and cultural ties. An extensive exchange of views took place on issues of cooperation between our countries in energy, transport, cultural, humanitarian, scientific, educational, and other spheres. In particular, the holding of Turkmenistan Culture Days in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan Culture Days in Turkmenistan was noted.
