Ilham Aliyev received a delegation from the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations of the USA

On February 9, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation headed by Betsy Burns Korn, Chair of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

As reported by BAKU.WS, during the conversation, President Ilham Aliyev and representatives of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations fondly recalled their previous meetings.

Thanking the head of our state for the reception, Betsy Burns Korn expressed satisfaction with the visit to our country with a large delegation to discuss issues of expanding cooperation, taking into account the strategic importance of Azerbaijan, as well as its good relations with the USA and Israel.

Betsy Burns Korn congratulated on the successes achieved in Washington last August in advancing the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia. She particularly emphasized the leadership qualities demonstrated by the President of Azerbaijan in this matter, and the efforts of the US President.

Expressing gratitude for the congratulations, the head of our state touched upon the role of US President Donald Trump in achieving these results. Noting that Azerbaijan and Armenia are already getting accustomed to living in conditions of peace, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that ensuring peace and stability in the region will make a significant contribution to its development, noting the importance of TRIPP and other connectivity projects in terms of expanding regional cooperation.

Noting that with Donald Trump coming to power, Azerbaijani-American relations are developing successfully, the head of our state said that his several meetings with the US President over the past 6 months are a first example in the history of bilateral relations.

At the meeting, it was noted that an atmosphere of tolerance has historically prevailed in Azerbaijan, and the issue of state care for Jews, as well as representatives of other peoples, was discussed.

During the conversation, satisfaction was expressed with the development of Azerbaijani-American relations, successful cooperation between our country and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations was noted, and their role in expanding Azerbaijani-American and Azerbaijani-Israeli bilateral relations was emphasized.
