Turkish TV channel Haber Global prepared a report on the opening of the XIII Global Baku Forum in the capital of Azerbaijan.

As part of the event, organized on the initiative of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, sessions dedicated to discussing the most pressing issues on the global agenda will be held over the course of two days.

Following the traditions of previous years, the forum once again brought together current heads of state and government, former presidents and prime ministers, as well as influential decision-makers at the global level. It is precisely because of the scale of the participant lineup that the event is often referred to as the "Caucasian Davos."

At the opening ceremony, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev served as the host. In his speech, the head of state emphasized that security issues are one of the main priorities. He noted that encroachments on the territorial integrity of states and violations of international law norms lead to extremely grave consequences.

The Azerbaijani leader also addressed the peace negotiation process with Armenia. He stated that after achieving a final peace, joint activities could be implemented to establish a new branch of the Middle Corridor. President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that the new route would pass through the territory of Armenia, enabling this country for the first time in its history to obtain the status of a transit state.

More than 400 guests from various countries around the world are participating in the forum, which this year is held under the motto "Bridging Divides in a World in Transition." Sessions within the framework of the event continue throughout the day.
