Ilham Aliyev: Joint declaration opens a new page in Azerbaijani-Chinese relations

Our meeting (with the Chairman of China Xi Jinping - ed.) in Astana and the joint declaration adopted as a result are a historic event and open a new page in Azerbaijan-China relations.

As AZERTAJ reports, this was said by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in an exclusive interview with the Chinese agency Xinhua.

"Speaking during the bilateral meeting with the Chairman of the PRC Xi Jinping, I noted that the adopted Declaration officially transforms the PRC and Azerbaijan into strategic partners, and this is a great achievement and a great responsibility," the head of state emphasized.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that such an exchange of high-level visits will give additional impetus to the process of deepening interstate relations.
