Ilham Aliyev: A complete mining industry chain must be created

A complete mining industry chain must be created — all the way to obtaining the final product. This naturally involves ore extraction and the construction of several plants.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev at a meeting dedicated to the State Program for the Development of the Mining and Metallurgical Industry.

"Enrichment plants, pellet production plants, and briquetted iron facilities must be established. The transportation of raw materials plays an important role. Therefore, it is necessary to provide preferential transportation tariffs to ensure economic efficiency. A thorough environmental assessment must be conducted and all environmental standards must be met, because our main wealth is not what lies underground, but our nature," the head of state noted.
