Georgia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned Iran's attack on Azerbaijan
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia issued a sharp condemnation of the Iranian drone attack on the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, Tbilisi expressed solidarity with Baku in an official statement.
"Several civilians were injured during the attack. Any actions that grossly violate the principles and norms of international law and lead to an escalation of tensions in the region are absolutely unacceptable," the ministry stated.
The Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Tbilisi and Baku are bound by friendly relations and strategic partnership, expressing full solidarity with the Azerbaijani people in the current difficult situation.
It is noted that Georgia considers the preservation of peace and stability in the region a priority and supports diplomatic dialogue to reduce the level of tensions.
