Foreign ministers of Turkey and the US discussed the peace process between Baku and Yerevan

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a meeting in Washington.

According to the information, the talks took place at the US State Department building.
Official statements from the parties following the meeting have not yet been released. This visit was the first for the head of Turkish diplomacy to the United States after Donald Trump took office as president.
According to diplomatic sources in the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the meetings are expected to discuss strategic steps within the framework of bilateral relations between Ankara and Washington, as well as preparation for upcoming visits at the level of heads of state.
Special attention will be paid to regional issues of mutual interest, such as the situation in Ukraine, Palestine and Syria, as well as opportunities for cooperation in these areas. Discussions were also held regarding the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
It was emphasized that Ankara supports Washington's efforts regarding the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Additionally, it was noted that stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina is of great importance for the Balkan region.
