First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva met with the President of the Governorate of the Vatican City State

On October 17, the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva met with the President of the Governorate of the Vatican City State, Sister Raffaella Petrini.

As reported by BAKU.WS, during the meeting, the President of the Governorate Raffaella Petrini expressed deep and sincere gratitude to the Azerbaijani state for the projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the Vatican. Highly appreciating the visits of the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan to the Holy See, Sister Raffaella Petrini expressed gratitude to Mehriban Aliyeva for the valuable support provided to the development of mutual understanding, interfaith dialogue, and cultural ties. She noted that such initiatives serve to establish friendship, mutual understanding, and good relations between peoples.

First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva expressed gratitude to the Vatican City State Governorate for the warm reception and attention shown. Inviting Sister Raffaella Petrini to visit Baku on an official visit, Mehriban Aliyeva emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Vatican in new directions. Raffaella Petrini gladly accepted the invitation and expressed her intention to visit Azerbaijan in the near future.

During the meeting, which was held in an atmosphere of mutual respect, opinions were exchanged on the prospects of practical cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Vatican Governorate in cultural, religious, and humanitarian spheres.
