Euronews has prepared a special report dedicated to the XII Global Baku Forum

Another episode of the Focus program aired on Euronews, dedicated to the XII Global Baku Forum, which took place on March 13-15, 2025.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the report about the forum was published on the official website of the TV channel.
"The XII Global Baku Forum brought together high-ranking officials and politicians to discuss pressing global issues under the motto 'Rethinking the World Order: Turning Challenges into Opportunities'," the TV channel notes.
The report indicates that discussions at the forum focused on topics such as EU expansion, regional security in the South Caucasus, and post-conflict stability.
The TV channel also shows footage of an interview with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, in which the Azerbaijani leader emphasized the importance of creating a security mechanism for the South Caucasus.
"Of course, it is important to protect the region from any crises around us. Unfortunately, the South Caucasus region has been an arena of confrontation and hostility for decades. Now we have a relatively calm period. Therefore, we need to focus on this; create security mechanisms that will be comprehensive, eliminate any threat of new military confrontation and try to have good neighborly relations, as we were used to during the Soviet Union," the TV channel quotes an excerpt from the interview with President Ilham Aliyev.
Euronews also showed footage of an interview with Albanian President Bajram Begaj, in which he stated the need to protect values.
"We are at a crossroads, protecting our values that we cherish. Freedom, democracy, human dignity, justice, this is what we must protect," he said.
Summarizing the program, the TV channel paid attention to the security issue of the Balkan Peninsula. On this issue, the TV channel cited an excerpt from an interview with former President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović, in which he talks about the region's interconnectedness with Europe and the prospects for EU membership.
"This is a challenge for those who make political decisions in the Western Balkans. But in my view, it's about the future of Europe in a new geopolitical context," he said.
The report also notes that the forum participants emphasized its role in shaping political discussions on issues of global security and economic development.
