Deputy: Who would have educated Belinsky and Tolstoy if there had been no Mirza Kazymbek?

If Russia had not occupied Azerbaijan, probably the talented and capable children of our country would be studying not at MGIMO, but at Oxford and Harvard.
This was stated by Milli Mejlis deputy Hikmet Babaoghlu in an interview with Baku TV.
"Russia needed a politician like Heydar Aliyev. And MGIMO needed the talented children of Azerbaijan to proudly display on the honor board: 'Ilham Aliyev, now President of Azerbaijan, studied here'.
In fact, Vladimir Solovyov and MGIMO should be proud of this. They should have drawn such an analogy for themselves: it's interesting, who would have educated Belinsky and Tolstoy if there had been no Mirza Kazembek? Which representative of Russian literature would Solovyov be proud of today if not for Dostoevsky, who had Turkic roots?" - he noted.
