Behind the Scenes of Russian Bloggers' Provocation Against Azerbaijan

Against the backdrop of tensions that have emerged in recent days in Russian-Azerbaijani relations, the results of the steps taken by Baku have become a topic of discussion.

In the new episode of Aktual Gündəm with journalist Turan Ibragimov on Baku TV, the behind-the-scenes aspects of these events, statements made by certain Russian journalists and bloggers against Azerbaijan, as well as Baku's legal and diplomatic response were discussed.

During the program, it was noted that after the sharp statements by Ivan Knyazev, Semyon Uralov, and Alexei Chadayev directed at Azerbaijan, official Baku chose not to escalate the situation into an emotional confrontation.

The Azerbaijani side activated legal and diplomatic mechanisms. This refers to the criminal case initiated by the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan under Articles 214, 281, and 283 of the Criminal Code. As a result, some of the aforementioned individuals were placed on a wanted list, and a preventive measure in the form of detention was imposed against them.

One of the notable consequences of these events was the resignation of Alexei Chadayev from his position as advisor to the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation.
