Bayramov congratulated Kyrgyzstan on its election to the UN Security Council

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with his Kyrgyz counterpart Jeenbek Kulubaev.

As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Bayramov congratulated his counterpart on Kyrgyzstan's election by an overwhelming majority of votes as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.

The parties emphasized the importance of mutual support on regional and multilateral platforms, including within the framework of the UN Security Council, and expressed satisfaction with the current level of strategic partnership.

The interlocutors also discussed prospects for developing cooperation in political, economic, humanitarian and other spheres, as well as a number of bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
