Azerbaijan urged citizens of the country to refrain from traveling to Iran

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan called on citizens of the country to refrain from traveling to Iran.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the ministry's statement, the call was made against the background of escalating tensions between Israel and the Islamic Republic.
"Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan are advised to refrain from traveling to the Islamic Republic of Iran unless necessary, and those who do travel should exercise increased caution," the statement says.
Citizens currently in Iran are asked to observe safety rules, not to visit areas near military and nuclear facilities, and to act in accordance with safety instructions provided by local authorities.
"In case of any emergency, citizens are asked to contact the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Consulate General in the city of Tabriz," the Foreign Ministry added.
