Azerbaijan, the United States, and Armenia published a joint statement on the anniversary of the White House summit

Azerbaijan, the United States, and Armenia have published a Joint Statement on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Peace Summit held on August 8, 2025, in Washington.

"One year ago, President Donald Trump, together with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, held a historic summit at the White House, during which President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed the Joint Declaration on Peace.

In the presence of the three leaders, the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia initialed the draft "Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia."

On the first anniversary of this event, we take deep pride in the achievements our countries have accomplished through joint efforts and are determined to continue building on this foundation, which has ended decades of conflict and opened the path to a more prosperous future for the South Caucasus.

In recognition of these historic and significant peacemaking efforts, President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan jointly nominated President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

The Joint Declaration, with the support of the United States, defined a concrete roadmap for strengthening peace, ensuring prosperity, and deepening partnership between Armenia and Azerbaijan. In the year since the leaders' meeting, these countries have carried out foundational work to ensure further successes.

- Armenia and Azerbaijan have maintained stability along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Both sides are taking concrete steps to build confidence, normalize relations, delimit the border, and ensure long-term stability.

- The transit route "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) is gradually transforming from an idea into reality through concrete progress, including an agreement between the United States and Armenia to establish the TRIPP Development Company, which will oversee infrastructure development.

- Engineering and survey work is already underway in Armenia. Azerbaijan has nearly completed the construction of the highway and railway on its territory, which will be connected to TRIPP in Armenia. The three countries also support the construction of a power transmission line along the TRIPP route.

- The United States has allocated $201 million to the Trans-Caspian Entrepreneurship Fund to facilitate the attraction of private investment in the Trans-Caspian Trade Route (Middle Corridor) in the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

- The United States has deepened relations with both Armenia and Azerbaijan by signing charters defining new bilateral strategic partnerships, as well as memorandums of understanding in the areas of energy security, border infrastructure and security, artificial intelligence and semiconductor innovation, and critical minerals.

These initiatives are investments in the long-term prosperity of all three countries and are already yielding concrete results.
