Azerbaijan celebrates the Day of the cities of Khankendi, Khojaly, Khojavend and Agdere

September 20 is celebrated for the first time in Azerbaijan as the Day of the cities of Khankendi, Khojaly, Khojavend and Agdere.

In this regard, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order to amend the head of state's order No. 4013 dated July 31, 2023 "On the establishment of city days in the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation".

Recall that according to the President's order of July 31, 2023, city days were established in the liberated territories.

According to the document, the following days are celebrated annually as city days in the territories liberated from occupation:

August 26 - Lachin City Day;

October 4 - Jabrayil City Day;

October 17 - Fuzuli City Day;

October 20 - Zangilan City Day;

October 25 - Gubadly City Day;

November 8 - Shusha City Day;

November 20 - Agdam City Day;

November 25 - Kalbajar City Day.
