A telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AR) Jeyhun Bayramov and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the press service of the foreign policy department of the AR, during the telephone conversation the parties discussed Azerbaijani-Iranian bilateral relations, the current situation in the region and the progress of the negotiation process in this context, as well as the prospects for a diplomatic and political settlement of the situation surrounding the Islamic Republic.
A. Araghchi provided detailed information on the progress of the negotiation process. In turn, the head of Azerbaijani diplomacy emphasized that our country supports efforts aimed at resolving the conflict through peaceful means and negotiations.
The ministers also exchanged views on other bilateral, regional, and international issues of mutual interest.
