When will social benefits and pensions be increased in Azerbaijan?

Today marks the end of the 3-month period given by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the Cabinet of Ministers to prepare proposals for increasing social benefits and pensions.

Deputy Vugar Bayramov stated this to Unikal.

"During the past period, the government has prepared proposals for increasing benefits and pensions. It is assumed that since the deadline has expired, these proposals are already prepared and will be presented to the head of state by the Cabinet of Ministers. After this, the President is expected to sign the relevant document. This will implement the increase in social benefits and pensions. After the proposals are presented to the public, it will become known which benefits and pensions will be increased. Also, after this, it will become clear by what percentage the increase will be.

This means that in the near future, in accordance with the instructions of the head of state, increases in social benefits and pensions will be implemented. Which benefits will be increased will become known after the proposals are presented and the relevant document is signed. The social package, which will cover three million citizens, will include an increase in benefits and pensions at the next stage. This means that even more of our citizens will benefit from the social package," said the deputy.
