The time for payment of increased benefits and scholarships has been announced

The increase in benefits and scholarships has become another important step towards strengthening the social protection system in Azerbaijan and confirms the successful continuation of reforms aimed at improving the welfare of citizens in the current year as well.

As Oxu.Az reports, this was announced at the regular meeting of the board of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev noted that within each of the five packages of social reforms implemented since 2018 based on decrees and orders of President Ilham Aliyev and covering more than 4 million citizens, not only salaries and pensions were increased, but also benefits and scholarships.

The increases primarily affect the following categories of the population: families of martyrs, low-income families, persons with disabilities (including persons who were assigned disability in connection with the protection of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity), women with five or more children, families who have lost their breadwinner, as well as other socially vulnerable groups.

The consistent increase in social payments for these categories within each package, as well as the significant growth in payments in recent years, are a vivid example of the state's special attention and care.

The Minister emphasized that from next month, citizens will receive benefits and scholarships at increased rates.
