The Minister of Finance commented on deputies' proposal to increase salaries

Azerbaijan's authority is growing, international positions are strengthening, and the number of diplomatic missions is increasing. Therefore, it is important to allocate funds to this area.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by the Minister of Finance Sahil Babayev during the budget discussion at a joint meeting of the Milli Mejlis committees on natural resources, energy and ecology, labor and social policy, healthcare, international relations and inter-parliamentary ties.

The minister did not leave the deputies' proposals to increase diplomats' salaries unanswered.

"Regarding the proposal to increase diplomats' salaries, it was already increased last year. Their salary is implemented based on a mechanism defined by the UN," he said.
