The Chairman of the bank Jahangir Askerov has resigned

Chairman of the Board of OJSC Premium Bank Kamil Latifov has resigned.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Report, no one has been appointed to his position yet.

Deputy Chairman Mahir Najafov is temporarily performing the duties of the chairman. Until January 2025, he was the chairman of Premium Bank, and K.Latifov was the deputy chairman. In January, their positions were swapped.

Recall that Premium Bank was established in 1993 under the name AZAL Bank, in 2008 it changed its name to Silk Way Bank, and in 2018 it underwent rebranding again. Its authorized capital is 154.601 million manats. The bank's shareholders are former president of CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) Jahangir Askerov with a stake of 84.46%, VIP Aviation Services LLC with a stake of 15.22%, and Elvira Akhmedova with a stake of 0.32%.
