The Central Bank of Azerbaijan maintained the key interest rate at 6.5%

The Board of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has decided to maintain the key interest rate at 6.5%.

This was reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the CBA.

According to the information, the lower bound of the interest rate corridor has been maintained at 5.5%, and the upper bound at 7.5%.

"The decision took into account the compliance of actual and projected inflation with the target range (4±2%), risks associated with growing geopolitical tensions in the region, the current situation in global and domestic financial markets, domestic macroeconomic trends, as well as the specifics of monetary policy decision transmission to the real sector," the regulator's statement said.

Information about the next decision on the interest rate corridor parameters will be announced on May 6, and a press conference will be held on the same day.
