The Average Monthly Salary in Azerbaijan Has Increased

The average monthly nominal salary of employees in Azerbaijan in January-November 2025 amounted to 1 thousand 89.2 manats, which is 9.3% more compared to the corresponding period of 2024.

As reported to BAKU.WS by the State Statistics Committee, the highest average monthly nominal salary was observed in mining, financial and insurance activities, information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as in transport and warehousing.

As of December 1, 2025, the number of employees in Azerbaijan was 1 million 797.4 thousand people, of which 869 thousand people worked in the public sector of the economy, and 928.4 thousand people - in the non-state sector.

At the same time, 18.6% of employees were engaged in trade, vehicle repair, 18.2% - education, 14% - industry, 8.5% - healthcare and provision of social services to the population, 6.7% - construction, 6.3% - public administration and defense, social security, 4.5% - transport and warehousing, 3.9% - in professional, scientific and technical activities, 2.4% - agriculture, forestry and fishing, 2.3% - financial and insurance activities, and 14.6% - in other sectors of the economy.
