SOCAR presented the results of a study conducted in the Shamakhi-Gobustan region
The natural resources exploration team of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) presented new results of the airborne gravimetry program implemented in the Shamakhi-Gobustan region.
As reported to BAKU.WS by SOCAR, they managed to collect data from an area of 5,000 sq. km over seven working days. The company notes that the use of airborne gravimetry and gradiometry technology was the first such experience for both Azerbaijan and the entire region and represents an important step forward.
The company emphasizes that the use of innovative methods increases the accuracy of the obtained data and operational efficiency, which allows for making more informed decisions in the field of exploration. The integration of LiDAR and magnetic survey data with seismic information will strengthen the assessment of the region's underground potential.
SOCAR continues to strengthen its position in the energy sector by implementing modern technologies and increasing operational efficiency.
