SOCAR in the first half of the year increased diesel fuel production at its plant in Turkey by 7%

STAR Oil Refinery (Refinery), an asset of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Turkey, produced 3 million 345,694 thousand tons of diesel fuel in January-June 2025, which is 217,984 thousand tons or 6.97% more compared to the first half of 2024.
As BAKU.WS reports, this was announced by Report with reference to data from the Energy Market Regulatory Council of Turkey (EPDK).
In June of this year, STAR Refinery produced more than 527,978 thousand tons of diesel fuel, which is 209,113 thousand tons or 65.6% more compared to June 2024.
Overall, in January-June of this year, Turkish oil refineries produced about 8 million 378,739 thousand tons of diesel fuel, including 1 million 403,874 thousand tons in June. This is 407,087 thousand tons (5.1%) and 143,715 thousand tons (11.4%) more, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
